We were living on the sand landscape of Holland, near the Kroller-Muller park.
The sculpture I choose is from Richard Serra called Spin Out: Corten steel plate coming out from the valley site.
It contrast perfectly with the soft dune of the sand landscape.
The sculpture is a sharp contrast with the sea landscape. It represent the heavy structure that defend the land from flooding.
The elements of nature are working to soften the edges of sharp objects, with the wind erosure, the sea, the sand.
The sculpture and the landscape form a story. First the structure is coming out of the earth mounts, then plays with the elements of the landscape, tree lines, grid fields, and finally is reabsorb by the elements of the sea and the sand.
